With over 100 years of experience in the bicycle industry, SKS is a trusted manufacturer known for keeping bikes rolling smoothly. Founded in 1921 by Karl Scheffer-Klute in Sundern, Germany, SKS initially focused on producing curtain rods. In 1932, the company was acquired by Wilhelm Blome, who expanded the product line to include metal pumps after purchasing a tire inflator company.

Today, SKS is renowned for its innovative pump and bicycle fender designs, offering a wide range of accessories such as bike pumps, fenders, bags, tools, digital pressure gauges, bottle cages, cage adapters, and phone holders. All SKS products are meticulously designed and crafted in Sundern, Germany, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

At SKS Germany, we take pride in our dedicated team of 400 employees at our bicycle headquarters in Sundern, with an additional 700 staff across our three divisions. Our aftermarket product sales account for 43% of our bicycle business, while OEM products make up 32% of our sales.

Every year, SKS Germany manufactures an impressive range of cycling accessories, including 4.5 million full fenders, 2 million clip-on fenders, and 1.2 million bicycle pumps. This translates to producing over 18,000 fenders and 3,200 pumps daily, showcasing our commitment to meeting the needs of cyclists worldwide.

In 2022, SKS introduced the revamped Bluemels and Bluemels Style fenders, replacing the classic Chromoplastic Longboard and Commuter II models. Both fender lines are crafted from high-quality chromoplastic material, with the newer Bluemels featuring black hardware and an expanded size range. The Bluemels Style fenders offer a modern square profile design, double U Stay technology, a sleek matte black finish, and a stylish spoiler on both the front and rear fenders.
